Georgia Commute Options

Georgia Commute Options is a program created through a joint effort between the Georgia Department of Transportation and the metro Atlanta region’s transportation management associations that helps commuters, employers and property managers take advantage of commute alternatives. The program offers free assistance with worksite assessment to help businesses design programs that will provide the greatest commute benefit to employers and employees. Programs include telework options that focus on increased productivity and business continuity in the event of a large-scale disaster.

Red Cross

The American Red Cross responds to more than 70,000 disasters, including hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters. The Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting immediate emergency disaster-caused needs. When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and mental health services to address basic human needs.

Georgia has chapters in, Albany, Americus, Augusta, Statesboro, Dalton, Athens, Brunswick, Warner Robins, Macon, Metro Atlanta, Rome, Savannah, Tifton, Thomaston, and Valdosta.

SBA provides low interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private, non-profit organizations to repair or replace real estate, personal property, machinery & equipment, inventory and business assets that have been damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster.
