(ATLANTA) – The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is notifying all Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant recipients and subrecipients of the upcoming transition of financial management functions from FEMA Grants Outcomes (FEMA GO) to the Federal Information Management System (FIMS). This transition will temporarily affect access to FEMA grant systems and the processing of financial transactions.

All grant recipients and subrecipients must complete and submit time-sensitive grant and financial actions, including payment requests, by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026. Transactions completed after that date will not be processed until late December at the earliest. FEMA’s estimated timeframe for completion is subject to change based on disaster activity or technical complications.

Beginning shortly after November 20, 2026, FEMA will begin transitioning its grant systems to read-only mode. During this period, users will be unable to complete grant-related actions or process financial transactions through FEMA GO.

GEMA/HS strongly encourages all grant recipients and subrecipients with outstanding payment requests or other pending financial actions to submit them as soon as possible to avoid potential delays in processing. Financial transactions will not be processed through FEMA GO during the transition period.

Grant recipients and subrecipients with additional questions or concerns regarding the transition should contact their assigned grant specialist or reach out to the appropriate GEMA/HS grant program:

GEMA/HS will continue to communicate important updates to grant recipients and subrecipients as additional information becomes available regarding the transition and restoration of system access.
