GEMA/HS Mass Vaccination Site in Columbus Allowing Walk-Ups for those without Vehicles This Wednesday and Thursday
(COLUMBUS, Ga.) – The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is allowing walk-ups at the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Site at the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, Ga. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8. This will allow people to be vaccinated at the Site without requiring a vehicle.
The walk-ups will occur in conjunction with the Spring Fling event happening in the parking lot neighboring the Mass Vaccination Site. Those attending are encouraged to walk over to the Mass Vaccination Site between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday to receive their COVID-19 vaccination. It will also allow for those in the area who don’t have vehicles to take advantage of the Site.
During the extended hours, only walk-ups are allowed. Drive-ups are still permitted during the Site’s normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ups will not be allowed during normal hours of operation. All GEMA/HS Mass Vaccination Sites only administer the Pfizer vaccine.
