Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grants

The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency Hazard Mitigation Division works in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to apply for Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grants assistance for state agencies and local governments. The key grant programs include: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, Flood Mitigation Assistance and Pre-Disaster Mitigation. The purpose of these grant programs is to provide funds to state agencies and local governments for projects that reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from the effects of natural hazards.
